How crazy life is

Why does it seem like people rather talk down when they see you working on something positive instead of lending a helping hand. I'm down to help anybody in a split second but when it comes to me I'm always left doing shit on my own. In this world I'm starting to see peoples true colors and for the snakes that they really are.  I pray that God allows everyone to accomplish their dreams as long as their working hard to reach that goal.  In America there are no handouts everything comes at a price or favor these days.  God bless you all and have a blessed day.

10 hot businesses to start now

10 hot businesses to start now

Digital Exec Merk

Check out the article on Digital Exec Merk

People might know you as a DJ and the manager of the Hot group in the Texas area known as "Yung Nation but you also seek other business opportunities is that correct?

I consider myself as a 'Digital Executive'. Its a new position I've coined. The music industry is changing and you can no longer only be good at only one thing on the business side. A 'Digital Executive' takes on the role of A&R, marketing, digital marketing and social media. I consider myself a culture builder. I'm always looking for new talent and new opportunities.

What are some projects we should be on the lookout for in the near future?

Definitely be on the look out for Yung Nation's 'iYess 2' and 'AF3'. 'iYess 2' is Yung Nation's new original project. I think its a pivotal step in their defining sound. I believe the next project we drop will be the actual 'Nation' sound that will translate to the masses, and iYess 2 is the perfect setup to that. 'AF3' is what YN does best, demolish mainstream beats. Its a Texas tradition.

2014 coming any goals you set for yourself and Yung Nation leading into the New Year?

My goal is to take on a bigger role in the music industry. I have somethings lined up that I can't speak on right now, just pray for me. Every move I make will be beneficial to the state of Texas. I put on for home everywhere I go. Yung Nation is definitely going to turn things up in 2014. We're working with a lot more EDM producers and DJs for 2014. Some bigger names on that side of music are avid YN fans. Yung Nation will be a big name in that world in this coming year. Be on the look out.

Do you put yourself in the category as one of the leaders for the New School era of DJ's budding in the Texas in the past recent years.

Honestly, amongst the DJ world in Texas I'm considered an OG. I don't even touch the turntables anymore. I left it alone for the moment to establish myself as Digital Executive Merk. I have a few younger DJs I'm helping brand and bring up because I've been there and believe in DJs who actually want to break new music.

Any advice to those trying to pursue their dreams in the entertainment business?

My advice is to go to college. People act like they can't go get an education and win in music. I beg to differ, especially in the state of Texas. Most of the bigger Texas artists you know of today all went to college and built their fanbase there. At my alma mater, Prairie View, alone we bred: myself, DJ Mr. Rogers, DJ Premier, Dorrough Music, Kirko Bangz, Party Boyz, and SupaStaar. Making it in music is like winning the lottery. Really sit back and think about how many people you know who are trying to do music... how many do you think will ACTUALLY bring in revenue and make a living from it. Yeah... go to college, get a backup plan. That's the Digi Gospel.

Reaction to Brians Death on Family Guy

R.I.P. to Brian Griffin

Thanksgiving Blues

For starters I'm stuck at PV for Thanksgiving holidays and won't be able to see Manda or my family for the holidays. The will will be dead at PV so hopefully I will be able to get some work done and fill up my page with blogs as soon as people submit in their articles.  People treat these things like homework assignments and take forever filling them out.  That's life I guess, "Happy Thanksgiving" to everyone out there.  All marketers, techno geeks, computer nerds, celebrities, socialites, and Models support the #TOTImovement. "Taking Over the Internet."

Top 5 Ratchet Words of 2013 and FOREVER!!!! #JackDblogs

It’s crazy I’m even doing a article on this but, I thought to myself why the hell not. Like where in the world you use this slang.  So I asked some of my Twitter and Facebook followers for their opinion and here’s what I have so far.

“THOT” aka These Hoes Out Here

I have to say I’m pretty sure a idiot came up with this popular catch phrase that’s been buzzing around the streets and internet. Its overall meaning apparently means hoe….So why not just say hoe right?

Finesse (Urban slang)

To talk someone out of their things as in persuading someone out of their belongs, or to do you a favor for you.  People like to perpetrate with this word to come off as cool, but this word is all talk.

         Turn Up or Turnt Up

Just about everybody turns up even your Grandparents from time to time get loose.  I think Its like a natural reaction to use the word turn up.  I was at Christmas with my family screaming, “Turn Up”, with the vodka and eggnog so yeah this word can be used at any given moment with sometimes great outcomes.

         TWERK

Aka the “ratchet mating call”, so they call it.  Don’t get me wrong I enjoy a good twerk video sometimes too much to where I have to be alone, but I heard Dallas/Houston girls do it the best. I heard there banning the dance twerking for minors cause the whole Miley Cyrus craze got little white girls going crazy. #KeepTWERKINGalive

HOE

This word has been around since the dawn of time and as you can see this day and age anybody can be one.  Its just thrown around so freely and loosely in this day and age. I probably use the word 20 times on a slow day...

“Side Hoes, Basic Hoes, Dumb Hoes,Nappy Headed Hoe, Broke Hoe, Shid Santa in Ho-Ho sometimes, and my favorite of all the, “Hoe ass nigga.””

Ceo of Pink Candy #JackDblogs

I saw a young female business owner and Ithought I would give help give her some exposure on my blog site Teairra “Sweet Tea” Williams. CEO of Pink Candy...Get to know more about her and check out some of her work..."Salute"

Could you give a brief introduction about Pink Candy and a little of yourself mam?
I'm a student at Texas Southern University in Houston Texas. CEO of Pinkcandy clothing line showing the sides of girls that are usually hidden from everyone the rough, hard, sexual side.
Whats are some upcoming projects do you have planned for this year going into the year 2014?
This upcoming year I plan on building a strong promo, modeling, and business circle to help build and spread the word on PINKCANDY. I plan to get active in at least 6 fashion shows and do free give always and gifts for customers.
Where do you come up with these crazy designs and logos from?
I’m a country girl I was born and raised in Tyler Texas so I’ve seen guns my whole life from hunting  so there is a lot of guns designs on my clothing then again I’m very girl so lips and sexy lines will be seen on  my clothing as well.
What motivated you to launch your own clothing business?
It was always my dream to have something to call my own to be in control to build my ambition and stay focus and remain determined and this is more than enough to do so.
What have you learned so far since opening your own business and any advice for those out there.
I’ve learn that everything doesn’t go as planned and that remaining focus on your goals and believing in  the intangible is always worth trying never ever give up on your dreams its always better to have a life of oh wells than a life of what if’s.

G Mayne from Houston, TX

For this article I'm doing a interview with Houston Artist/Entrepeneur G Mayne whose been buzzing the scene as of late with hot lyrics and popular clothing line.  I quickly took notice and nothing I like to do more than to help get the word out on talent and businesses. So here goes....
How would you define your rap style?
"My rap style is a little different then most. Yes im from the south alot of it might have a southern twang to it but i would call it "impacting." if thats say to say..Most people know me for my catchy voice on songs so it already catches their attention added to what my lyrics are saying. I can freestyle, write, and deliver some crazy punchlines.. I feel as if i have a new fresh feel style of rap. Like new school and old mixed, plus my own vibe!"

What goals you plan to accomplish going into the 2014 year?
"In 2014, I plan on becoming one of the most impacting rappers around. Im not looking to go nationwide and have everyones eyes and nose in my business. But i can for sure say that i wanna take my music to the next level and not be in the same spot i am this year. I want to come out with a album when 2014 hits since I haven't created one in soo long i feel its only right. Another goal is to start getting paid for gigs and to do way more shows. If I can travel a little more no telling how far i can go! I always told my mama she wouldn't have to work anymore so thats what I'm aiming to do.."

"Give more info on your previous and upcoming mix tape to tell the people out here?
My last mixtape was "JulyGuy2" i released in early July for my fans who heard and anticipted the previous version "Tha July Guy"... It was full of hot tracks many could relate to! My upcoming project is entitled "Bad License" meaning im crashing everything i run into. lol  sounds kind of funny but very impactive and thats what im aiming at! It will be surely one of the hottest mixtapes to finish off 2013!"
You have a crazy clothing line out too how do you manage both that and rapping?
"Its a little complicated but not too hard to handle. Ive been running this clothing since highschool so its no stopping now. lol My clothing is what impacts my music as well. Im very artistic and creative overall so these are just two things i love doing combined. I have my specific clothing customers and my best supporters that normally just stick to what they've been coming to me for but who knows, maybe i can make everyone fall in love with it all! lol. Dont get me wrong though, at times it can be a little complicated but nothing unable to manage and still have fun with!"

Any upcoming clothing projects the people should know about?

"Aghh man, the clothing is a bit random i cant lie. I do alot of customiztaion so one day i'll just pop out the blue with soemthing dope for the world to rock and they'll just catch on. I do have some crewnecks available saying "The Mayne Attraction" for all those who know they look good and aren't afraid to tell the world! as well as some "SCENE" beanies left!"

"I would love to tell them i appreciate them to take out the time to listen to me as well as purchase anything I've ever had to offer. The love i get shown impacts me daily in the most positive way possible. It keeps me going to know i have fans and awesome supporters, even the ones who haven't heard of me yet are in for a surprise! I just ask that you keep up with me and all of my moves as i promise not to let you down! be yourself and impact someone everyday. Make the best out of life and give good support!"
